Hyman has known every U.S. President since Dwight Eisenhower. He was a favorite escort of the famed advice columnist Ann Landers. He was also JFK's mentee as a young man.

Join us for an evening of stories, book signing, and more.

7:30 p.m. - Talk with Mr. Hyman
8:15 p.m. - Book signing begins and seated 3-course dinner

Originally from Providence, R.I., Lester Hyman first entered politics as the chairman of the Democratic Party in Massachusetts during a pivotal time in political history. Before that though, he was a young, ambitious Jewish lad that was intimately mentored by a senator whose father was (ironically) a powerful and anti-semetic Irish-American patriarch. That senator also became the first Catholic U.S. President, and one of the 20th century's most famous names.

“I came to D.C. for the Kennedy family in 1969,” Hyman told The Hill. After JFK's assassination, he continued meaningful relationships with Bobby, Teddy and other members of 'Camelot'.

A lawyer and longtime political insider, Hyman has vetted Cabinet and Supreme Court picks for President Bill Clinton, as well as Hillary Clinton during her two presidential campaigns. He currently acts as United States Legal Counselor for the British Virgin Islands, where he keeps a home on the island of Tortola.
