Free Restorative Yoga in the Palisades

  • Palisades Recreation Center 5200 Sherier Place Northwest Washington, DC, 20016 United States (map)

Namaste.

A free and restorative yoga-meditation class is on offer Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 pm at the Palisades Recreation Center (5200 Sherier Place).

While this is an ongoing open class series that I am giving, please always check the calendar (mine or DCPR) as there will occasionally be evenings without class.

General overview:

Jameson Freeman teaches an Integrated Restorative Yoga class that is suitable for both beginners and long time practitioners of yoga. This is a gentle and effective way to release and strengthen the body’s muscles and joints, increase flexibility, and activate energy channels. Each class involves breath awarenes, a gentle warm up followed by asanas or yogic poses (and counter poses) done sitting, standing and laying down, and finished with a guided meditation. This class is good for anyone looking to improve sleep and mental clarity, enhance body and mind balance, as well as improve overall health.

Each class may have specific body areas targeted, or be a general restorative class. The most benefit is always attained by regular practice.
